Over the summer, Sarah Vahed (PhD Candidate) visited the FAIR Centre for Experimental Research on Fairness, Inequality and Rationality, at the Norwegian School of Economics in Bergen, Norway. She attended several lectures on behavioural economics, including a PhD course with Prof. Matthew Rabin from Harvard University on computational modeling, and discussed some of her research with the group of economists and other PhD students. Many thanks to the lab directors, Prof. Bertil Tungodden and Prof. Alexander Cappelen, as well as Prof. Rabin for hosting the amazing opportunity (including the guided hikes through the beautiful Bergen mountains).

Sarah Vahed (PhD candidate) was invited to contribute an early-career piece to Nature Reviews Psychology which has been published this month. In this article, Sarah highlights the necessity of interdisciplinary research to open new frontiers for addressing important societal challenges through decision science. To read more, click HERE!

We’re excited to share that our lab, represented by Alan and Sarah Vahed (PhD candidate), is part of a new five-university collaboration, which has been awarded funding from the Kurt Lewin Institute. Together with researchers from the University of Amsterdam (UvA), Tilburg University, Leiden University, and Vrije Universiteit (VU), we will be contributing to a Many Labs project exploring how economic inequality influences trust in society. More updates coming soon!
