Dianna has left us again to go back to the U.S.A. We enjoyed having her here over the past three months and we wish her the best of luck back home!
This summer Inge went to the 3 week Summer Institute Cognitive Neuroscience at Lake Tahoe in California. Together with 30 other students, she attended lectures by the authors of the 6th edition of the book 'The Cognitive Neurosciences' by M. Gazanniga. It was an unbelievable experience to get such a good overview of the state of the art of the field, and make so many new friends while being in such a beautiful environment. Thanks everybody!
Dianna is visiting the lab for the summer from Duke University. She will be looking at how social motivations change in private compared to in public when your reputation is at stake. In her study, she will examine how reputation affects the motivation to earn money for oneself and for a charity, and the neural processes underlying how social context can modulate reward anticipation. We hope you have a nice stay Dianna!
