Tim-Dorian Knöchel (Research Assistant) and Sarah Vahed (PhD Candidate) recently published an article in The Inquisitive Mind (In-Mind). Their piece, featured as part of the special issue 'The Dark Side of Social Media', details how social media can negatively shape our moral judgements, a process they call 'digital moral distortion'. A new article co-authored by Sarah Vahed (PhD Candidate), Pietro Ortolani (Professor at the Law Faculty), Catalina Goanta (Professor of Law, Utrecht University) and Alan has been accepted for publication in European Law Open. Their piece details how the effectiveness of EU laws, specifically the Digital Services Act which regulates social media platforms, can be better understood through the generation of experimental evidence on the behaviour of social media users. In September, Sarah Vahed (PhD Candidate) presented her research on social inequality at the SPUDM 2025 conference, held this year in the very warm and wonderful, Lucca, Italy! Many thanks to the organisers for a great conference and many fun social events.
