After several very successful years as program director for the Radboud Center for Decision Science, we are delighted that Sarah has chosen to stay in the lab and begin a new role as a PhD candidate. Her research on the fundamental mechanisms of decision-making under situations of unfairness and injustice will make a valuable contribution over the next 4 years.

Sarah was selected to present her research investigating the decisions of social media users at Digital Legal Talks 2022, a law conference aimed at understanding the impact of digitalisation on justice, hosted by the Digital Legal Lab in Utrecht. Sarah enjoyed presenting the work to the audience of EU lawyers and legal scholars, and looks forward to contributing to more legal reform discussions with insights from psychology developed in our lab.

Sarah Vahed, PhD student in the lab, presented a poster at this year Society for Judgment and Decision-Making annual meeting, hosted at the University of California, San Diego. Sarah's poster outlined the results of her recent research combining psychology and law on social media decisions, which stems from an interdisciplinary collaboration she has been developing between our lab and the Faculty of Law.
