Johanna Ritter
PhD Student
Johanna Ritter completed her Bachelor's degree in Comparative and European Law at the Hanse Law School Oldenburg (Germany) and her Master's degree in European and International Law (International Laws) at Maastricht University. She is currently doing her PhD at Radboud's Law Faculty and joined the lab at the start of her PhD in 2025.
With her interdisciplinary PhD project, Johanna seeks to establish a cognitive legal framework for the identification of community interest norms before the International Court of Justice. Her research therefore explores if and how the communication before the International Court of Justice can lead to a common vision of the international community and their interests. More generally, Johanna is interested in how law and society impact and shape each other and how social groups establish normative thinking.
